100&NOMORE at the First Barcelona Gin Masters

Updated: Oct 27

A celebration of talent, creativity and craft gin

The Gebre cocktail bar at the InterContinental Barcelona Hotel hosted the first edition of the Barcelona Gin Masters, an event that brought together some of the city's best bartenders for a day of pure inspiration. Part of Barcelona Hotel Bar Week (BHBW), this event marked a turning point in the local cocktail scene.

Organized by Rogiatti Lab and sponsored by 100&NOMORE, the artisanal gin distilled in Barcelona in limited editions of only 100 bottles, the competition sought to highlight gin as a central ingredient in the cocktail — not only as an alcoholic base, but as a vehicle for expression, balance, and creativity.

The talent behind the bar

Eight bartenders represented some of Barcelona's most iconic hotels:

  • Chiara Lipari - MR PORTER, Sir Victor

  • Marie Amelie Fabre - Punch Room, The Barcelona EDITION

  • Filip Mruklik - Batuar, Cotton House Hotel

  • Sergio Flor - Bankers Bar, Mandarin Oriental

  • Marius Ionescu - Hall0, Monument Hotel

  • Kevin Erazo - Goja, Renaissance Barcelona

  • Giovanni Ferrari - Can Bo, Grand Hotel Central

  • Juan Emilio Bonaterre - Gebre, InterContinental Barcelona

Each of them presented their own creation in which 100&NOMORE gins took center stage: from Brava, inspired by the Costa Brava, to Sichuan, aromatic and spicy, and Calabria or Brighton, reinterpreted with a unique touch. The bartenders explored their versatility in different cocktail styles, pairing them with desserts and demonstrating that gin can be a canvas for the imagination.

A high-level expert panel

The jury, made up of leading figures in cocktails and gastronomy, evaluated creativity, flavor, presentation, and pairing:

  • Philip Duff, international consultant and educator.

  • Javier Caballero, founder of Liquid Experience.

  • Jon García, creator of Jon Cake.

  • Mauri Jiménez, journalist at Beber Magazine and passionate about

After an intense and nuanced competition, the winner was Marie Amelie Fabre (Punch Room, The Barcelona EDITION), who won over the jury with an elegant, balanced proposal and impeccable narrative.

A trend-setting event

The Barcelona Gin Masters was born with the ambition of establishing itself as an annual benchmark in the hotel cocktail calendar, highlighting local talent and the creative wealth that defines the Barcelona scene.

For 100&NOMORE, being part of this event was an opportunity to continue defending its philosophy: a handcrafted, limited-edition gin with a travel-inspired soul, inspiring those seeking something more than just a spirit.

The first edition sets the bar high: technique, flavor, and art went hand in hand on a day where gin took center stage. And this is just the beginning.
