  • About this handcrafted gin

When we hear the word Tasmania, we think of an inhospitable, wild and dangerous land, as it no doubt was when the Dutchman Abel Tasman first sighted it in 1642. Nothing could be further from the truth, as ever since the British colonised the island some 200 years ago, Tasmania has been thoroughly steeped in Western culture. Yet the very mention of it is somewhat unsettling - perhaps because it brings to mind the notorious and fearsome Tasmanian devil. And there is also something unsettling about this new 100&NOMORE gin, which pays tribute to the Tasmanian Aborigines.

It blends flavours that are typical of the island, such as eucalyptus, finger lime, myrtle and a faint note of toasted grasshoppers, giving it a very intense fresh, balsamic bouquet with hints of wood. On the palate it has a cool, green attack and a citrus finish, leaving a long, earthy, toasted aftertaste. Tasmania in its purest form - enjoy it!
